FedDev Ontario invests $5 million in CapsCanada® Corporation to expand capacity and create 50 jobs

CapsCanada® Corporation has received a significant boost with a $5 million investment from FedDev Ontario, aimed at expanding its operations and meeting the surging demand for its made-in-Canada hard empty capsules. This strategic funding, part of the Community Economic Development and Diversification stream, will enable CapsCanada® to automate production, expand its facility by 14,100 square feet, and diversify its capsule manufacturing.

The investment, announced by the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, and MP Irek Kusmierczyk, is expected to create 50 highly skilled jobs in addition to the current workforce of nearly 170. As a pivotal player in the region, CapsCanada®’s expansion aligns with the government’s commitment to supporting resilient businesses and fostering economic growth. The move signifies a forward-looking investment in Canada’s manufacturing sector and job market.

We acknowledge the support of the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
